MY STORY

- DISCOVER A BETTER WAY TO PAMPER YOURSELF -
M E E T   SAMANTHA WEST

I was married in 1997, in 1998 my son was born, and in 2001 my daughter. I was a stay-at-home mom to my two great kids and in 2002 I decided to take a reflexology course while continuing to stay home. In 2003 I completed the requirements to become a Certified Reflexologist and with that I was able to work part time at Back to Back Chiropractic Clinic. While still working at the clinic in 2007 I received a certificate as a Certified Aromatherapist and Spa Practitioner. Continuing to grow my business and extend my hours, in 2010 I became a certified Gel Nail Technician. With all the different certifications and skills I have I really feel they all complement each other.

My business is now what I call a Medi-spa, therapeutic treatments, and the relaxation and benefits of a spa. After 11 years at Back to Back Chiropractic clinic it has been great being part of their family I now am finding it is time for me to move my business home. This gives me the opportunity to be closer to my family as well as offer a great spa experience in my new space.

what is...

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a gentle but powerful healing art that uses therapeutic-grade pure essential oils in a way that can positively affect our physical, emotional and mental health.

Pure essential oils are natural substances found in different parts of plants-the blossom, fruit, leaf, stem, root, bark, wood, or resin.

The art of Aromatherapy has been used for centuries worldwide.

What is Aromatherapy Massage?

An essential oil blend is created specifically to your needs, Aromatherapy Massage is a gentle, relaxing therapy, which incorporates some techniques of Swedish massage, acupressure, reflexology, and lymphatic drainage. Body massage has proved to be a profound relief for conditions such as muscular aches, stress, depression, insomnia, headaches, migraines, colds, congested sinus, digestion, pms, and joint pains.

What is Reflexology

How reflexology works.  It is a non-invasive healing art that is based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands, and ears that correspond to ever part of the body.  Reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation, opens the flow in blocked nerves and helps promote the natural functioning and healing of the body.

How can Reflexology Help You?

The body has the ability to heal itself.  Following illness, stress, injury or disease, it is a state of “imbalance” and energy pathways are blocked, preventing the body from functioning effectively.  When one part of the body is not functioning well, the effect is felt throughout the entire system.  Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural balance and encourage healing.

What Happens in a Reflexology Session?

The client is relaxing in a comfortable position.  The Reflexologist  may  work on either hands, or feet. The sessions usually last from 45 to 60 minutes.

Beginning with the right side, all reflex points are stimulated as the body is considered to be a whole unit.

Reflexology is safe for everyone, although pressure and length  may vary for the aged or extremely ill.
